Rabobank committed to Emerald Beef

Rabobank is proud to have been a major sponsor of AgGrow for the past seven years.

Branch manager, Craig Slack, Emerald said the Rabobank team was committed to the sponsorship due to their commitment to the local beef industry.

Mr Slack expects the event to attract a first class yarding and create strong competition between buyers for these premium lines.

“Traditionally high clearance rates at the sale have ensured that the event has become a fixture on local producer’s calendars,” he said.

“The multi-breed bull sale reaches around 350 lots, with all major beef breeds represented.”

Again this year Rabobank will be donating two $1000 bull credits to the sale and Mr Slack is optimistic about the approaching sale.

“Generally cattle are in good order and grass in plentiful supply and therefore both the store sale and bull sale should be well supported again this year,” he said.

This year at AgGrow Rabobank will also be running a raffle to raise funds for Stock Up for Hope 2009 Charity Drove.

The community has already shown support by donating a prize pack of gift vouchers from local businesses.

Stock Up for Hope is the largest charity cattle drove in Australia, the initiative aims to raise funds to support Scripture Union (SU) chaplains and youth support workers in rural and remote areas of Queensland. Around 1400 head of cattle have been donated to the cause. The cattle drive will travel from Injune to Roma in early October 2009.
